L.A. Noire is Rockstar’s neo-noir detective drama set in a carefully reconstructed 1947 Los Angeles. Instead of centering the experience on chaos or sandbox excess, it asks the player to read crime scenes, follow evidence, interrogate suspects, and watch tiny changes in facial performance. The result is a slower, more investigative Rockstar game: part police procedural, part Hollywood tragedy, and part open-city archive of postwar Los Angeles.
